Logitech Camera Settings App Recensioni

The worst expensive camera ever (software too)

With the PTZ Pro 2 it support only zooming… There isn’t controls for pan and tilt (and you know… the name is PTZ…) I’m very disappointed with Logitech… wrost money spen ever….

frequency settings

add the frequency settings please in order to avoid flickering with lighting on 50hz power grid

No Support for OS Mojave

After upgrading to OS Mojave, the Logitech Camera Settings app loads but does not function. It doesnt appear to "see" the webcam anymore and no functions work.

Useless application. Does not work on macOS High Sierra at all. The camera does not turn on (and I know it works because it works in FaceTime). Logitech is super popular, yet they don’t care about compatibility. Just bought their camera, now, off to eBay for another wasted purchase.

This is unacceptable to sell a high quality product and not have the ONE PIECE that makes this functional, YOUR APP!

Not updated for the new Mac OS

Cannot make any adjustments or modifications to settings because it’s not compatible to the newest OS!

Not sure why there is a Save button

It doesn’t “save” anything. You have to restart this application and redo all of the configurations every time you connect the camera. It’s great for adjusting the brightness (which was my problem with the camera) but super annoying to have to do it over and over again every morning.

Works on my older 2011 iMac running High Sierra

I’m able to use this to control a C920 on an older iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6 - not sure why this is so hard to accomplish for Logitech over the years. Anyway - this one works for me today. July 2018.

Doesn’t work on His Sierra

On Amazon, it said the C615 webcam was good for mac. Well, it works sort of, but w/out zoom or other controls. But zoom was the one thing I wanted. So I look around on the internet and find this software. Again, no luck - it does not allow me to access the camera except through skype, and I have no control over zoom or other controls. I feel rather cheated by Amazon and Logitech. I will now have to fish the crumpled box out of the bin, tape it back together (the camera was difficult to remove without destrying the box), send the bloody thing back and hope for a refund. And never buy Logitech again probably.

none of the controls work! I can change the brightness and contrast but it does not allow me to zoom in or out, I’ve tried downloading it both with the CD program installer that came with it and on here and both read “not compatible with this mac"

Please update to work with newer Mac OSX versions

Disappointing to get a camera that is supposed to work with a Mac but then find out it doesn’t really work without a lot of hassle. Please update.

Doesn’t work at all

All controls are disabled, the app is non-functional.

It DOES work with High Sierra and c920!

I just bought a c920 in spite of the ominous warnings about using it with High Sierra. I installed the Logitech Gaming Software from Logitech support webpage. Not impressed, so I uninstalled it. Then I took a chance and installed this app. I guess there must be something left over from the gaming software install, but the Logitech Camera Settings app works just fine for me (tested with Photo Booth and Skype, all Camera Settings functions are working). I did this on two machines, a new iMac + my mid-2014 MBPro. Bottom line: install the Gaming Software first, then this app. Worked for me!

Don’t upgrade MAC software to 10.13.4

Upgrading to the new iOS for MAC can prevent your camera from working properly. The software update will still continue to recognize your camera but it will not allow it to function in any capacity. PLEASE BEWARE!!

Would be good, if it worked. Get the replacement from Logitech’s website

This software would do what I need, but it is completely functionless in High Sierra as others have noted. Oddly, it seems Logitech has abandoned this software, but has instead created a completely re-coded replacement called Camera Settings (not “Logitech Camera Settings”), which you can download from the support page for your specific camera. It works well and has a much improved interface and restores what is lost because this doesn’t work. It’s too bad that they do not seem to have it in the App Store and have left this available with no explanation about its replacement.

Doesn’t work with OS 10.13 or 10.12

Tried reaching out to Logitech for support and they said this software is only guaranteed to work with 10.11. The app hasn’t been updated in 2 years. It doesn’t work at all for me on 10.13.3. STAY AWAY!!

Doesn’t work with High Sierra 10.13.3

I bought the c922x to use on my Mac. The camera works in OBS, however, I cannot use the Logitech Camera Settings app at all, no tilt, no pan, no zoom no nothing. All controls are disabled. Had I known that the Mac app had not been updated in 2 years I probably would have selected a different vendor. Currently debating returning the camera

Where is the frequency NTSC/PAL control?

So many things that this app should have including the ability to save options without having it run in the background and eat up memory. But the bigger problem is that the latest update got rid of the frequency control between NTSC and PAL to get rid of the flickering. This morning I opened the app and the option showed up for a moment, but then the option miraculously disappeared!

Doesn’t work on High Sierra

All the controls are frozen. Nothing works. Any leads on how to fix this, anyone? Otherwise, the app is useless. I would still rate it high as when it used to work in previous versions, it was optimal.

Doesn’t work on High Sierra

High Sierra has been out for a long time now; this software has not been updated since 2o16. Why is this still on the Mac App Store if it doesn;’t support High Sierra? Logitech tech support gives me confusing and irrelaevant answers about c920 camera support and OS X Logitech OS X software. I am about ready to give my c920 cameras to Goodwill and go with another vendor that can properly support their customers that are using Macs.

App doesn’t work on 922 or 930

Bought the 922 and 930 and this app doesn’t work with either of them. Tilt, zoom, etc. nothing. Can’t edit anything. Logitech support said they’d request the team to put out an update. Not holding my breath a large corp will jump on that based on a support ticket.

No High Sierra Support

This application does not support High Sierra. The Logitech support site has a more recent version, but it also does not support High Sierra.

Doesn’t do much

Bought the Logitech c922 Pro Stream for webinars and video recordings. The camera has serious problems focusing, and this app does nothing. This camera needs a real driver, not some half-assed app.

This software does NOTHING if you have a c920.

Stopped working after update to High Sierra

App was working fine, but after update to High Sierra, even though the app lists my camera on screen (c920) all the options are greyed out. It is useless now.

Disappointed as non of the camera features work for me.

Just bought a Logitech c920 camera at Staples. The camera will come on and function in facetime, but none of the features of this software which is the only way to control camera settings are working. None of the pan, tilt, zoom, focus or other image controls function. Very dissapointing, none of the features that distinguish this camera and make it worth the money are available. I am using macOS High Sierra 10.13.1. I also have not been able to figure out how to update firmware in camera, been to their website and looked in this non functional app. I hope they fix this soon so I can change review.

Doesn’t work with High Sierra

Was never *good* (didn’t save settings) but at least it worked. Now broken altogether after upgrade to High Sierra.

Does not work with High Sierra

Echoing all other comments that upgrading your OS to High Sierra causes this application to lose 100% of its functionality. Logitech needs to do the following ASAP: 1. Change the Compatibility to say it does not work with High Sierra 2. Fix the problem. The Games download (180MB) does allow some minimal zooming, so it can be fixed. 3. While you’re at it, fix the problem that causes the app to crash every time I open my AirPods case

control what?

where is the picture...

users of macOS High Sierra — reboot with camera plugged in

Was working so-so on previous operating systems (never was able to save the settings) and now with High Sierra, this app is broken… but I found a WORKAROUND: You must boot your computer with your webcam already plugged in. Then when you launch the app, it should work to adjust the settings.

Like many others have already said, THIS DOES NOTHING WITH HIGH SIERA. NADA NOTHING ZILCH. I could not be more angry righ now. I am an infrequnet user of this web cam and my use is instructional videos. WHen I need to use it, it’s relatiely heavy for several weeks. So now I sat down to use my Logitech 960 amd BOOM .. I have no control of the camera via the Camera Settings App. This is in my view just next to malpractice by Logitech. How many months have them had a pre-release copy of High Siera??

Please help me

I just bought a camera Logitech Quickcam Pro 3000 and did not work On my iMac And what is my best choice And My system is El capitin Please help me

Logictech C922 Background removal

Its do not have the back ground removal for the C922

Not pretty but it does the job

Simple app, kind of ugly. Provides a basic interface to set the crop and exposure settings for Logitech cams. Not impressive, but it's more controll than I get w/ Apple's build in iSight. Would really like to see a way to save presets, maybe in a menu bar app.

Adjusts zoom, brightness on C920, no saved settings

Pros: - The C920 wide angle is too wide for desk usage, so the apps digital zoom and digital pan is very helpful. -With my lighting, the C920 is way too bright but with this app the brigthness can be adjusted Cons: - Settings are not rememberd, even though there is a save button. After every computer restart, the app needs to be re-opened and the settings reset. This is the main reason I gave 3 stars and not five. - The up/down buttons are backwards with the C920. Minor but annoying. - The app shows 5x zoom, but it stops at 1.92x with the C920.

using on a c920

pan/zoom works for me and the image controls are easy to use. The only improvement I would like to see is the ability to access the app via menubar icon.

Doesn’t save settings

In OS X Sierra 10.12.4 and 10.12.5, this app doesn’t save its settings, so you have to open it each time you use the camera to reset White Balance, Contrast, and so on. I do hope Logitech fixes that. In the mean time, check out iGlasses, by eCamm, a similar app for any video camera for the Mac. $20, but has a lot more settings available.

Won’t zoom or pan.

Does not pan or zoom for C922 with Sierra 10.12.4

no “reverse image” option

The option to reverse the image (left to right) so it acts like a video camera rather than a mirror is missing, which seems like a really basic thing to leave out.

Does everything…except zoom

It does everything except zoom. So, if you’re want to adjust your cameras white balance, you’ll be really pleased.

This is helpful, because my home office is very messy and I want to focus down on just myself, rather than the entire room when I’m taking a selfie. Unfortunately, when I focus down, the image of my face is a bit fuzzy — even though I’m only about 2 feet from the camera. I guess the resolution of my camera is not what I would have hoped when I purchased it. I thought I was getting this super great camera. The camera says model # V-U0017.

Still can’t disable RightSound

Even with this app you still can’t disable the odious RightSound (noise cancelling) on Macs. How long has this been available on Logitech cameras again?

Works Great!

This little app does exactly what it says, and doesn’t crash. It gives me capabilities that I didn’t have with other cameras. I’m running mine on a Mac Pro (not a laptop) and so far there have been NO glitches. I suggest getting the latest available version of the camera (mine is a C930e), and updating the firmware by following the instructions in the manual.

Works great, zero hassle

I was skeptical given the low star reviews, but after using it to set up my Logitech 920 webcam in under a minute, I have no complaints and would reccomend it to anyone.

Works on c920 Also

As pointed out, the UI is a little flipped when it comes to panning up or down, but nothing that will end the world. The rally good news i sI tried this out on a lark for my c920 webcam and it works!

Bad UX

It’s 2016 and sliders have existed in software for a long time. This software should use them for zoom and pan. Doing it with buttons is backward.

Please remember my settings

My computer isn’t moving. My setup stays the same. So why do all of the color, pan, zoom, and tilt settings reset every time, even though I hit the “save” button in the app? PLEASE, Logitech, add the ability to save personalized defaults so that I don’t have to launch the app and redo all the settings EVERY time I reboot my computer or log out and back in. It’s really annoying. I can never fully trust that the settings are what I want them to be.

Please add support for Logitech HD Webcam C310!!

Please add support for Logitech HD Webcam C310!! And add more option like in app on Windows!!

Does what I need it to!

So happy to have found this app! My C910 doesn’t have an option to adjust the color balance and it was way off! This app is really easy to use and does exactly what I need it to do. The only thing I would add to it is the ability to save the settings, tried the Save button but it didn’t work. Otherwise it’s perfect. Thanks!

Latest update fixes zoom & pan.

Very excited to see the update for this. Can now zoom & pan. After months of using the built-in Apple cam, I can now use my C910 again with zoom and pan controls enabled. That said, the camera tends to overzoom on widescreen settings, making it difficult to frame myself, but works better on standard setting. Not sure why that’s the case. But, being able to zoom & pan at least allows a much better shot than what I had before, and better than the built-in camera.

Missing exposure control, but works fine for me.

While I wish the app had a control for exposure instead of brightness, this makes my new CS920 serviceable. I’m running El Capitan. Zoom works, pan works. I’m not sure what the prior version did differently, and I’ve heard rumors that the Windows version sllows face tracking, but overall this makes the camera workable. I was going to return the camera to Amazon, but this way I’m pretty content.
